The scale alone lies. Water, salt and a big dinner can move it by a kilo overnight, so I never read too much into a single weigh-in.
Every week I take the same measurements with the same tape, in the morning, fasted. Chest, waist and hips. Same conditions each time, so the change I see is real change.
It is not exciting, and that is the point. Consistent, boring tracking is what lets me tell the difference between progress and noise.
